About "My Green Farming"

The mission of My Green Farming is to contribute to the sustainable development of the Lithuanian and other countries agriculture by producing and supplying farmers and agricultural companies with high quality organic fertilizers produced after processing beef cattle manure.

From 2014, the company has adopted the production technology of such fertilizer and experience from the meat processing farm of our company and continues to develop the manufacture technology of organic fertilizer from the compost of litter beef cattle supplied by this farm. In order to expand the scope of fertilizer production and the product line, in 2014-2016 our company invested 0.8 million Euro in a new fertilizer manufacturing facility and high efficiency drying and granulation equipment as well as innovative technology and equipment for production of liquid fertilizer. Currently, the company offers granular and liquid organic fertilizer. You can find more information about it in “our products” section.

History and achievements

First granulated fertilizer was produced at the beginning of 2013 in the experimental workshop. In cooperation with researchers of the Agroecology Centre of A.Stulginskis University, a unique technology for granulation of beef cattle litter compost has been refined. The available diameter of granular fertilizers was 4 and 6 mm. Chemical composition of fertilizer was analyzed in the EU accredited Eurofins. The fertilizer has been tested in open fields using mechanical spreaders. The tests showed that the fertilizer is suitable for local fertilization along with seeds used for sowing. The localized use of granular fertilizer is a new technology in the present agriculture. Studies were carried out in the laboratories of Amazonen-Werke H.Dreyer Gmbh u. Co. KG, Germany, and the spreading of fertilizer was locally tested at A.Stulginskis University, with the VADERSTAD Rapid 300 C Super XL seeding machine. In 2014, the company was awarded the prize “Innovation product” for the implemented granulation technology of meat cattle litter compost and for the innovation. The prize was awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania. In 2015, the company received the award and acknowledgement for the innovation project “Production of liquid organic fertilizer using shredded bovine compost, development of technology and fertilizer efficiency analysis”. The project was carried out in collaboration with the head of the Agroecology Centre of A. Stulginskis University Dr. Assoc. Prof. J.Pekarskas. The prize was awarded by the Lithuanian Ministry of Economy.

In 2016, in cooperation with the head of the Agroecology Centre of ASU Dr. Assoc. Prof. J.Pekarskas, the company developed and issued scientific recommendations for using liquid and granulated fertiliser in agriculture. These recommendations were based on the results of tests in open fields (see “Our Products” section).

The chemical composition of fertilizers was thoroughly analysed in cooperation with the laboratories of the Lithuanian Centre for Agricultural and Forestry Sciences (LAMMC), EUROFINS Polska Sp. z.o.o., Institute of Public Health in Ostrava.

Certificates of suitability of our fertilizer products for use in organic production and agriculture in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 834/2007 of the European Council and Commission Regulation (EC) No 889/2008 were issued by the State Plant Service under the Ministry of Agriculture.

In 2017, the company was awarded a prize of the exhibition KĄ PASĖSI…2017 – a medal and a diploma for the developed and produced our liquid fertilizer product.

In June 2017 the company completed the mounting and installation of the liquid fertilizer workshop. It has implemented the innovative modern technology and currently our company will make a liquid Micra element fertilizer from the beef cattle manure compost with high humification level. The technology allows to fracture the products of different concentrations, with higher levels of microelements and humic and fulvic acids.
